This notice explains how Emnel AB handles personal data when you visit emnel.org or contact us.

Who is responsible

Emnel AB (org.nr 559595-5476), Stockholm, Sweden, is responsible for the personal data described here. For questions or requests, email hello@emnel.org.

What we collect

When you send an inquiry through the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message and, if you provide them, your company, area of interest and business stage. We also note the page you sent it from and when. You don't have to give us any information, but we need your name, email address and message to reply.

To protect the form from spam, we store a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address with your inquiry and delete it after 24 hours.

If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write.

When you browse the site, our hosting provider records visitor statistics such as page views, the site you came from, device type and country. The statistics are aggregated and aren't used to build profiles of individual visitors. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we use it

We use your inquiry to reply to you and, if we decide to work together, to plan that work. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering inquiries about our services, or to take steps you've asked for before entering into an agreement (GDPR Article 6(1)(f) and 6(1)(b)). We use the scrambled IP address and the visitor statistics on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and understanding how it's used. We don't use your data for automated decision-making.

Who else handles it

We share personal data only with the service providers that run our website, database and email, and only as far as they need it to provide those services. We don't sell your data or share it for marketing.

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. When that happens, the transfer is protected by safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We delete inquiries 12 months after they arrive. If we start working together, we keep what we need for that work for as long as the work and our legal obligations, such as accounting rules, require.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you and get a copy, have it corrected or deleted, or restrict or object to how we use it. Email hello@emnel.org and we'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your personal data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) at imy.se.
